Darren Brooks, AIF®
Darren Brooks is an investment adviser representative based in the Mentor office of Investment Partners, LTD. He graduated from Akron University, Akron, Ohio, in 1992 with a BS in business administration/finance. Brooks previously served as chief operating officer of the Help Network (a fee-based asset management product provider) and as a partner with ClearCreek Financial Group.
Darren has obtained FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations as a Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®; accident and health, variable annuity, and life insurance licenses; as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation.
His past broker/dealer affiliations and experience include Linsco Private Ledger and Washington Square Securities/ING. He has served as a featured speaker for Kent University, Kiwanis Club, and multiple charitable organizations. Darren also served on the executive committee for the Akron Chapter of Ducks Unlimited for four years. He has been the founding officer and vice president of the Ohio Waterfowl Association for two years and is the founder and president of the GreatLakesWaterfowler.com LLC.
Darren and his wife, Kathy, live in Macedonia with their children, Ashley and Hunter. He is passionate about the outdoors. He has been on many outdoor television shows and is a published outdoor writer.
